OMG! I just woke up to the fact I have not updated this since you last visited... You would not believe that my hands were chopped off and I was waiting for bionic ones. Apologies to my regular readers! Even the little blue ones!.
I am going ahead with only your readership as life preserver, hoping you haven't found other blogs, just generally being asleep, dreaming and chancing to my husband, my day pisses me off from the first cockadoodledoo from the rooster to midnight. I am avoiding recapture. life is good.
I swear on the bones of my ancestors I will write something that makes sense soon. You wanna test me? This is for my ever faithful, devoted public..

A thought

Life is a journey.... journey is struggle.... struggle yields fun.... fun is ecstacy.... ecstacy is love.... love is hope.... and hope leads to confidence.... that.... someday, someway....life would be the way i want it to be!!!

Court

I am my own court, I am my own judge
Create my own alligation here
And give my own justification
I incriminate a me in myself
And defend a me against the world.
I support my own convictions
And weaken my own arguments.
I am my own law, law-maker and law-breaker.

Elixir Of Life - Narendra Nair

Interesting article from the Times of India, 24th Nov, 09. Just thought I'd share it with you all....

"
He was the man everyone looked up to. Six feet two inches in height and three feet from shoulder to shoulder, the looks of Gregory Peck, the voice of Amitabh Bachchan – when he smiled, women swooned. He did an hour’s tennis each day, rode, swam and played golf. Those who, of either sex, had managed to see his abdomen, declared it to be an eight pack and a lady once insisted that it was a ten pack. If true, it would rewrite anatomy of the rectus-abdominis. A gushing young woman once said that he had made the sea part at the Gateway of India by merely looking at it hard. He strode down the street like it belonged to him and with the looks of a movie star, he could have had any role for the asking. In fact, he spent a goodish amount of time fending off movie producers from his door. He drove a Lexus and a BMW and lived alone in a penthouse. Some said he had climbed Everest thrice; others said he had sailed down the Amazon and it was generally agreed that he had more planes than Vijay Mallya and was richer than Lakshmi Mittal. His general knowledge was encyclopaedic and in the circles he moved he was the only one who could pronounce and spell antidisestablishmentarianism without fracturing a syllable. He could talk as easily of Pareto distribution as of the intricacies of uranium enrichment, aviation mechanics, and the Karmarkar algorithm. He discussed the Mughal era or the Upanishads with equal ease. He danced like Fred Astaire and loved pre-dinner cocktails. He maintained that any potable liquid other than alcohol was for women.
And yet, this God-like Superman was recently discovered drinking – our tongues burn with embarrassment to say this – milk from a bottle labelled e-Moo! The impact was the same as if Sachin Tendulkar had been seen playing cricket with a pingpong ball. But faith was restored quickly, when we learned the truth. Fizzy, carbonated milk had been launched in the United States for school students there some months ago. He had imported some, to try out cocktails combining the carbonated milk with white rum, gin and kahlua. What the school students did with carbonated milk no one was sure, except burp maybe, but speaking for himself, he declared he found that milk and alcohol was the shortest route to nirvana.

GUESS WHO???

Thomas Carrew

He that loves a rosy cheek,
Or a coral lip admires,
Or from star-like eyes doth seek
Fuel to maintain his fires:
As old Time makes these decay,
So his flames must waste away.

But a smooth and steadfast mind,
Gentle thoughts, and calm desires,
Hearts with equal love combined,
Kindle never-dying fires:
Where these are not, I despise
Lovely cheeks or lips or eyes.

Looking for you

Another one shared betweeen us in September 07. One of the poems from the WWW service
I cant honestly say that i was looking for u,
And i doubt if u were looking for me,
.......But it happened.......
And here we are..... two people,
Just happy being together,
Not knowing where to go,
But very sure, that wherever it is,
We’ll be going there..... together

A poem from a friend

I am Willing.

I am willing to change what doesn’t work for me in my life.
I am willing to listen with an open heart, without judging.
I am willing to plant seeds that take a long time, if ever, to grow.
I am willing to feel and let go.
I am willing to make mistakes and learn from them.
I am willing to live in the present.
I am willing to forgive and forget in my heart.
I am willing to love as much as my endless spirit will allow.
I am willing to be seen in all my radiance.
I am willing to be fearless.
I am willing to be powerful.
I am willing to be peaceful.
I am willing to stand tall. and walk gracefully.
I am willing to sing with my stunning, full voice.
I am willing to allow. I am willing to let go.
I am willing to change.
I am willing to see and be seen.
I am willing to hear and be heard.
I am willing to feel and be felt.
I am willing to heal and be healed.
I am willing to love and be loved.
I am willing to allow. I am willing to let go..
I am willing to be fully human.

By the Way

Had received these lines from my husband couple of days before marraige (Marraige was on 19th April, 08, he sent these on 3rd April, 08).... had one of our arguements pertaining to marraige and arrangements. The lines ain't original but nevertheless....
"
I love you because you make me happy
I love you because you make me feel safe and secure
I love your smile
And how you laugh at me when I do something stupid, when others would put
me down.
I love the fact that when I'm around you I can be myself and not worry
about what you may think of me, because I know you love me for who I am.
No matter what my faults may be.
I love being able to wake up with you by my side... It makes my days
better
At night I love watching you sleep, hearing you take each breath, and
feeling your heart beat with the palm of my hand... reality hits that you
are not a dream YOU ARE MINE.
I love the way you wrap your arms around me and hold me really tight, like
there is no tomorrow
And I love the way I feel when your lips barely touch mine for a kiss, the
love and emotions that go through me at that moment are unexplainable.
I love your laugh
I love hearing your voice
I love that you try so hard to go along with my family and friends, no matter how much
you dislike them, or who they are.
And hearing you tell me your stories, you could tell them to me a thousand
times, and I will never get tired of them, because they are a part of you.
But the main reason I love you is because.....
You are you! "
Ain't original. But then does that matter...
Love
Munish
